1. Eat and eat some more: You need to eat twice as much of protein in grams as your body weights in pounds. For instance, if you weigh 150 pounds, your protein consumption should be 300 grams.
2. Mix it up: Don’t assume that you need to get your protein from meat. The more that you mix up the protein types that you eat, the better it will be for your diet and your state of mind. Try eating fish, soy, beans, cottage cheese and eggs as well as your traditional meat and poultry.
3. Keep your activity levels in mind: The more that you run around, whether doing sports or aerobic activities, the more protein you need in your diet. Without the proper protein consumption, your muscles will weaken and become slack.
