Throughout a woman’s life, her body is constantly changing and going through specific cycles. These cycles can have a direct effect on a woman’s anatomy. Many women encounter strange bumps, dimples and other differences in their breasts, and are immediately concerned that it may be breast cancer. While it is important to be aware of any small changes that may occur, it is not always realistic to jump to this scary conclusion.

There are actually four types of lumps which can form in the breast tissue: cysts, fibroadenomas, pseudolumps, and cancer. Cysts are harmless sacs of fluid which form in the breast, and may change in shape or size throughout the menstrual cycle. They are common in women over the age of 30. Fibroadenomas are harmless round lumps made of benign cells. They are common in teenagers and younger women, and often occur during pregnancy. Pseudolumps are also harmless, and are usually made of scar tissue or dead fat. These usually occur after a surgery or the shifting of a rib. All of these lumps can be identified by your doctor or other health care provider, and may be surgically removed if bothersome. While there are conditions that are in no way alarming, it is extremely important that you consult with a specialist immediately after noticing any kind of change in your breast, especially if you have reached a menopausal age. Cinergy Health offers affordable health care coverage of the highest quality, allowing most people access to excellent health care providers with whom to consult whenever necessary, including in cases of breast anomalies and changes.

If your child is diagnosed with asthma, it’s important for you, as a parent, to be informed and to know how to speak to your child. Some children will feel that there is something wrong with them and that they aren’t normal. Children should understand that, for the most part, asthma is controllable. Speaking with health professionals within your plan, whether it’s Cinergy Health or another provider, can help you to become more educated and aware.

According to information from the American Lung Association, the better that you and your child understand asthma and its implications, the better able you’ll be to deal with it and control it. Make sure to work closely with your doctor so that you can reassure your child and help his health to improve.

Cinergy Health has recently covered the news from the Food and Drug Administration about quinine. The FDA has recently sent out a warning that quinine could have life-threatening side effects when taken for nighttime leg cramps. The Food and Drug Administration explains that they have received dozens of reports of people who developed adverse effects while taking this drug, including kidney damage and even two deaths.

Qualaquin is only approved for treating malaria, which means that other uses are not approved and potentially dangerous. The FDA has said that the manufacturer of Qualaquin is developing a risk management plan to help to communicate these potential risks to doctors and to consumers.
