Certain foods are apparently good for your mental health. The Alzheimer’s Association refers to “brain-healthy diet” food as “one that reduces the risk of heart disease and diabetes, encourages good blood flow to the brain, and is low in fat and cholesterol.”
Here is a list of foods that are said to promote extra brain power and good mental health: blackberries, coffee, apples, chocolate, cinnamon, spinach, extra virgin olive oil, salmon, curry, and concord grape juice. Each of these items is said to inhibit memory loss and to strengthen areas of the brain that are important for memory and cognitive function.
