Health Myths Versus Facts with Cinergy Health

With the diet craze in America today, everyone is avoiding fats.  Dietary fats, however, are important as long as the right ones are eaten.  As Dr. Erika Schwartz from Cinergy Health explains, “A low-fat diet is good as long as it’s the bad fats [saturated fats from meats and trans fats from processed foods] you’re eliminating from your diet.”

She explains, however, that fat is crucial to the body’s makeup.  Good fats can be found in foods such as olive oil, nuts and seeds, avocados and fish.  Some people also think that a low-fat diet will protect your from all sorts of diseases.  This has been found to be false, according to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
